The British Indian Skeletal Society (BISS, UK) aims to support education, research, training, outreach and social activities and to enhance links between Indian origin MSK radiology doctors practising in the UK and India.

To be a Member?

An online application form will be created to be filled by all membership applicants. The application would be expected to be supported by at least one (preferably two) current members of good standing. It will then be passed to the EC for approval. Once the subscription is confirmed, they will be added to the closed group webpage. The membership will roll from January to January.

The current membership plan is for one off joining fee of £50 followed by Yearly fees of £50, which is subject to change depending on future decisions and discussions. All categories of members would be expected to conduct themselves as dignified professionals and respected members of the society.

Our Aims

  • To provide educational support to the musculoskeletal radiologists and general radiologists of Indian origin with interest in musculoskeletal (MSK) subspecialty in training or practicing in the UK, as well as those who, at any time, have been trained in the UK but are settled outside UK.

  • To promote sharing of knowledge and culture between Indian and British MSK radiologists, in India and UK, by arranging educational meetings, courses and other similar activities.

  • To organise various meetings, courses, other educational and social events at local, regional and national level for its members and non-members and to act as forum for informal discussion amongst them on issues of mutual interest.

  • To organise a yearly national scientific conference.
